Trip to the Universal Studios Singapore!

5 January 2012

Hello! I went to the Universal Studios with my good friends. They are my NPCC squadmates for 4 years leh!! Had a really great time. You know why I decided to visit there? It is because almost most of my friends went there before aleady. Then I also feel quite pathetic if I don't go. Though it was a Thursday, the place was CROWDED.

Plenty of unglam photos, because I had a very bad hair day. Plus, I didn't bring my DSLR that day, I was scared that it would go missing so in the end I brought my compact one, which was the the super old one but the quality still not bad la. Arh, this blogpost got photoshop one, so I will do nice nice! Oh yea, didn't took much photo, because apparently my compact camera's battery was spoilt already so it's survival rate was about 1 hour plus only.. so I kinda have very limited photos.

While waiting for the super long Que. to buy the tickets.
From Left: Wai Hin, Yizhan & Quan Le *WE FINALLY GOT OUR TICKETS*
Quan Le like very excited right?
Not bad for my camera's quality right?
A photo with the half eygyption human half long leg dude, half snake cos they had those sharp teeth! I love this photo! I don't know why, cos I look good in it?
So many people...
There are 2 different roller coasters, one is the blue one so called advanced level, and red one is kinda mid level. Excitement rate for the red one 7/10. The blue one is 5/10 and it was too fast,I had a terribly bad headache after that.
Okay, i don't look good in this lol.

Went for a late lunch after that! Guess how much this cost?

Anddddd I shall end off here!! SO IF YOU HAVEN'T VISITED THE UNIVERSAL STUDIOS... Visit THERE NOW.... hahahahaha. See ya

My experience at Gills N Shells (Lavender)

I was invited for a food tasting session at Gills N Shells not long ago to try out their new dishes. Gills N Shells is a restaurant/drinking place that is inspired by the ocean. The restaurant specialises in seafood, thus they offer a vary of seafood dishes. They are dedicated to serve quality food with the best quality. Gills N Shells is easily accessible as they are located just behind Hotel Boss facing the river. The nearest train station is at Lavender MRT Station, thus it will only take a 5 minutes walk to get to this restaurant.

Gills N Shells recently launched their seafood platter served in a dim sum basket. As mentioned, there is a variety of seafood choices you can select from. However, there is a minimum order of three seafood choices. If you are an adventurous person or you can eat a lot, you may wish to order the All-in-A Basket Special. It comes along with all the seafood listed in the menu.

Ever since when I was little boy, whenever I attend a wedding dinner, the food item that I always anticipate the most has got to be the orh nee dessert. I mean who doesn't loves yam! So creamy yet sweet! Sometimes I wish I can find them at dessert stalls but you can rarely find them nowadays. Recently, I was greeted with an orh nee cake right at my door step thanks to Buttertrade

The cake is from Bloomsbury Bakers delivered by Buttertrade.

What is Buttertrade all about?

My internship in Japan (Niigata)

If you haven't read my previous blogposts about my overseas industrial attachment at Japan you can click on the links below: http://www.uncletehpeng.com/2014/09/exploring-niigata-japan-kite-museum.html http://www.uncletehpeng.com/2014/08/my-trip-to-japan-niigata-day-1.html''

Working in Japan is one of my greatest experience so far! The people there are so nice to communicate too and they are not only patient but very kind too. Despite the communication barrier, we were still able to translate our body language to talk to each other. The only funny thing is when we have to use Google Translate to talk to each other. Above is a picture of a huge tentage that my colleague and I built. Do note that everything including the tent sheets are made from scratch!

I was attached to a logistics company during my internship period! The company has many years of experience in the industry thus I learnt plenty of things about administration & practical work. Japanese are very passion…
