My experience at Nook - DIY House of Pancakes

Hi guys! I was supposed to blog about this last month but I didn't have the time to blog due to Christmas! Today I'm going to blog about Singapore's first DIY pancake restaurant. I'm sure many of you guys have heard of the restaurant before or you might have visited this place last time. I have been wanting to visit this place because it looks so fun to design and make your own pancakes into different shapes and designs! As you guys know I stay in the east side and is also not convenient for me to travel that far (unless if I can drive lol!) because Nook is located at Bukit Timah. I arranged a date with Regine to follow me because I haven't seen her for ages and we have been talking about visiting Nook together!

Ps about the pole, lol! I was trying to hide it! Hahaha!

Excited Regine awaiting to go inside! We had to queue because there was a pancake buffet at a student price for $10/person.
Outside the shop, we took awhile to source for the place because we were not familiar with the place and surroundings! Thanks to google maps, we managed to find our way here.

Cashier counter!! Hahaha!
4 simple steps to create your own pancakes!

This is how the menu looks like, ! Basically you have to choose your pancake flavour, and the toppings you want. Since I was having the pancake buffet, the toppings are free flow.
Atmosphere of the shop...love the cosy environment although it's very warm outside.

Spot Regine's purple phone cover.

Our toppings have arrived! Mini marshmallows, oreo, banana & chocolate sauce. For the pancakes, we chose original and strawberry!

Regine attempting to squash her pancake cos it was screwed up! HAAHA

Writing her name on the pan.
Final product, damn nice right?! Hahaha

OKAY, MY TURN... Got to agree that I'm not good at designing anything.. becuase whatever I design it will turn out really bad..

Ok, guess what I'm writing?

My very own DIY UncleTehPeng design. hahah Screwed up the "H" and it looks more like a "R" instead.
This is super pretty! Made by Regine..

Topped up with chocolate sauce, banana and marshmallow. Mmhmm! Looks mouth-watering!
Star-fish alike pancake!

I ran out of ideas to design !  Better than nothing ok!
Chocolate spiral...

Probably the only one I made that looks presentable to eat. Supposed to be a smily face but it turned out into some bear looking shape.

And yours truly, Damien & Regine!

Had an enjoyable time at Nooks making my own pancakes! I'm defnintiely coming back next time  because you will never get bored doing it! See ya!

My experience at Gills N Shells (Lavender)

I was invited for a food tasting session at Gills N Shells not long ago to try out their new dishes. Gills N Shells is a restaurant/drinking place that is inspired by the ocean. The restaurant specialises in seafood, thus they offer a vary of seafood dishes. They are dedicated to serve quality food with the best quality. Gills N Shells is easily accessible as they are located just behind Hotel Boss facing the river. The nearest train station is at Lavender MRT Station, thus it will only take a 5 minutes walk to get to this restaurant.

Gills N Shells recently launched their seafood platter served in a dim sum basket. As mentioned, there is a variety of seafood choices you can select from. However, there is a minimum order of three seafood choices. If you are an adventurous person or you can eat a lot, you may wish to order the All-in-A Basket Special. It comes along with all the seafood listed in the menu.

Link:  http://www.uncletehpeng.com/2015/03/taipei-day-1-ximending.html

Hi guys! Okay, as you can see from the title above, I'm going to blog about my Taiwan trip I went 2 weeks ago. It was a last minute getaway trip because I was only told a week before the trip, I totally freaked out because you know my wish is to visit Taiwan and finally it has been fulfilled. So in your mind you must be wondering, 1 week only, how are you going to find a hotel and book your air tickets in time?

Thanks to http//www.expedia.sg I was able to find my accommodation plus in a good area some more! Wanted to stay at Ximending but most of the hotels there were fully booked and the only available ones at Ximending were far from the MRT station. Thanks to expedia, I was able to source out  another hotel, which is a train stop before Ximending, Taipei Main Station. In Taipei traveling is so convenient because almost every place is accessible by the MRT.
After making all the accommodation arrangements, the n…

My weight loss journey: How I lost 30kg in 1.5 years

If you followed me on my Instagram account, you may have noticed that my face has became a lot more smaller. Losing weight has always been in my new year's resolution for every year. However, that resolution would never seemed to be able to be achieved. Thus, I will bring forward to the next year instead! Haha, bet many of you guys would do that too, you are not alone! As you guys know, I am always associated with food. I admit that I am a glutton myself, I can't resist nice food and I tend to overeat most of the time.
Before you continue reading, the purpose of me writing this post is to serve as a reminder for myself not to return to my original weight. Simultaneously, a few of my friends have also approached me to share with them some tips for losing weight. I promise to keep this post short and sweet as I also dislike reading lengthy posts!
Before I begin, this blogpost will be filled with old photos of myself before my weight loss transformation.
