My experience at After You Dessert Cafe (Siam Paragon) - Bangkok

If you are traveling to Bangkok, make sure you don't miss visiting After You Dessert Cafe! Before the trip, I did a little research about this cafe and it has known to be quite popular among tourist and the locals there. In my opinion, this cafe is a must-visit, it's very convenient as it's located at Siam Paragon. As the cafe hopping trend in BKK is also quite popular. Finally I gave it a try after reading countless reviews on the internet. I'm was expecting the food to be over-rated but to my surprised, it wasen't. I'm highly impressed with the quality of food serve and also the service provided. I'm a huge fans of desserts and I'll do anything for good food! The cafe couldn't get away form me and I have to try it by myself to know if the food is really that good!

Entrance Of After You Dessert Cafe

From what you have see in the picture above, the entire cafe was full house and filled with customers. I also managed to spot a few Singaporeans dining in the cafe too. (I guess it's no strangers to us Singaporeans about this place). Provided if you done the research lah! After You Dessert Cafe is located at the ground level of Siam Paragon. (Reminds me of Orchard Ion). If I'm not mistaken they also have another branch elsewhere in Bangkok but you need to conduct your own research!

Since it was full house, we would also need to take a queue number to wait for our tables to be cleared. They also indicated if you missed your number, you would have to re-take your number and wait again. I guess this is to be fair to all customers as they are also running a business. I waited for around 15-20minutes, don't worry there are seats outside the cafe.

Ambience of the cafe was alright, as it was packed with customers. You would have to walk to the counter to order your food (same thing like how fast food restaurants works). Staff was able to speak english clearly and there wasn't any language barrier, managed to ordered our food.

Here's the menu if some of you guys are interested. The food was priced at average and it wasn't that expensive for normal cafe food! You know for a moment, I wanted to just order everything in the list above. *Telling myself, I'LL BE BACK AGAIN". Basically, the cafes offers a wide variety of dessert choices, they even have breakfast menu too! Things I recommend must be the Shibuya Toast (with any kind of ice cream you prefer and also the pancakes).

Double Chocolate Frappee

I forgotten how much does it cost, but it tasted like any ordinary chocolate drink. It's not that bad nor good but luckily it isn't that sweet which i like the most. Just i felt it could have been better! But I'm not here for the drinks, but more for the desserts so it didn't really disappointed me either.

Shibuya Honey Toast

Price: 175 Thai Baht - SGD $6.70

Plus points for the amazing tempting looks! Don't you feel like eating it? The famous shibuya toast is the cafe's signature item and also one of the most popular item that customers would order. Basically, it's toasted bread topped with honey sauce, ice cream and whipped cream. (They do come in other flavours of ice cream, so I suggest you order the original one and also try another flavour so you have up to more than one choices to choose from.) I really love this because it was served when it's HOT despite how crowded the cafe was, the food didn't disappointment me because I was expecting the food to be a little cold but it didn't. It's definitely good and I actually ordered the same thing because 1 is NOT enough! So be sure to add this into your order list! The portion can be shared among 3 people maximum! Depends on how much you eat lah, for me I can finish the whole thing by myself, oh god I'm such a glutton! :D

Okay, here's another one to tempt you guys from a different angle. LOL.

Chocolate Lava Cake (Small)

Price: 155 Thai Baht - SGD $5.95

Next up we have the infamous and mouth-watering chocolate lava cake! Wanted to get the bigger one but we were afraid that we can't finish it! But supposed that when we ordered small, it would really small! Should have ordered the larger one though! The lava cake is topped with a scoop of fresh vanilla ice cream, mini cut pieces of strawberries and and sprinkled with chocolate powder. And yes! I specially insta-video for you guys if you wanna see the chocolate flow out from the lava cake!

The texture of the cake was quite hard and I was actually expecting the chocolate to just burst out once you cut it, but it didn't but eventually took awhile for the chocolate to flow out. To me, I still think it's value for money, just that I strongly recommend you to get the larger portion in the future if you intend to share it among large group of people preferably above 3? I guess? Because I think they catered this option for individual diners!

Hazelnut Pancake With Nutella Sauce

Price: Price: 175 Thai Baht - SGD $6.70

Wow! Just wow! This was my favourite and I strongly recommend you to try this! It actually reminded me of eating Hotcakes from Mc Donalds'. The butter is given separately from the pancake. The texture of the pancake was very moist and delicious! And if you are a nutella eater, you definitely will fall in love with it and wanting to go for more after each bite! The flavours gradually grows onto you and melts into your mouth with full of flavoursome! Not kidding here man lol! It's one of a kind that you shouldn't miss and I HIGHY recommend you to try this! *Thumbs Up* The presentation of the pancake was also very interesting as the sauce shapes like a spiral making it look more like a mud-pie dessert to me! Yums! Mix together the nutella sauce with the whipped cream (know it looks a bit disgusting and unglamorous for even better taste! )

Also tried the Hot Chocolate, served on a wooden pan and a complementary biscuit.

My thoughts and opinion:

Overall, it was an enjoyable session spent at After You Dessert Cafe. It is definitely a place you should visit and you will be spurred by their wide range of dessert choices! It's NOT overrated! So you should come down and give it a try if you are happening to be in Bangkok at the moment! I will be coming back to this cafe when I'm back in the future and will recombined this to all my friends out there!

My experience at Kim's Family Food (Korean Food)

I was recommended by my friend Qin Pin to try out this Korean Restaurant that she had been telling about for ages that I really must come and try! She told me that there are more than 10 side dishes they offer and guess what? They are all FREE and refillable. Well to me, I not into Korean cuisine, but I decided to give it a try and experience the authentic food and ambience over at Kim's Family Food! There are 3 outlets in Singapore and we visited the one at 17 Lorong Kilat (near to Nooks DIY Pancakes). Top 10 Cheap and Affordable Places for Students to eat in Singapore

Most of the time during lecture, my friends and I would be in class whatsapping each other in our own personal group chat discussing about what should we eat after school. (Don't bluff, I bet you done it before too). Usually, we will not be able to think of a location to settle down hence we will end up searching online. Over the entire year, my clique and I have been hopping around places to find the best spot to eat and I have successfully list up some of my top places that we usually will hang out after school. Of course, being students (if you work or not work part-time), we will always be on budget constraint and do not want to spend a lot in a meal. After months of exploration, I would like to recommend some places (you might have been too or might not) that you will probably want to visit with your friends one day! What we usually look out for: 1. Places you can sit and chit-chat for more than 1 hour 2. Pocket-friendly prices (preferably below $25, ranging from $5.50 -
