My experience at New Udon Thai Food (Mookata) - Golden Mile Complex

If you had been stalking my instagram posts, I have been going for regular mookata sessions (like almost twice every 2 weeks). I thought I would want to share with you one of my favourite places to have mookata which offers relatively affordable price and also delicious food! Doctor told me that I should watch my cholesterol level thus I'm trying to cut down! This will be my 3rd mookata post. Thus if you would like to find out more places I have been to, you can check out the two other blogposts that I wrote previously:

For Tom Yum KungFu (Mookata)

Thai Iced Milk Tea

Hands down, it's much more sweeter compared to the regular teh peng that you order at a Kopitiam. One cup is never enough when you have mookata cause you will be thirsty all the time.

Among many thai restaurants I have visited, nothing beats the one at at New Udon Thai Food! Their meat are all seasoned beautifully and very flavourful! I've been here more than 5 times already and even brought my mum here (she doesn't eat mookata one, and she even complimented that the meat was good)! This is probably the reason why my clique kept on going back to the same place and we won't get sick of it. The waiters are all thai (yes they speak English and mandarin) so you can actually feel the vibes and the atmosphere. Location wise is quite prominent because the restaurant is usually crowded during dinner timings and there will be a lot of customers in the restaurant. They do not take in reservations but trust me, have place to sit one! I've been there quite a couple of times and we had no problem finding a seat.

Jasmine and Krystal

I know the next thing you probably want to know if the place is air-conditioned or not. The restaurant is divided into 2 sections, inside the shop and outside. Both places are air-conditioned because it's inside Golden Mile Complex (obviously) so it won't be humid unless you mind the smoke of the mookta blowing against you. But again, you will still smell like mookata in the first place.

Peck Fern and I posing with my meat that I was going to cook!

When you are seated, you will be automatically given a set of mixed meat (depending on the number of pax) for that you will need to ask the staff for more questions. The portion wise is quite generous but not enough for 4 of us (I'm sure if you are small eaters, it should be enough to fill your stomach). However because my friends and I (okay mainly me) are big eaters, we decided to order another plate of chicken. You can choose if you want pork, beef or what (mix also can) depends on your preferences. Personally, the chicken is the best because they marinated until very nice! The meal sum up to around $80+ for around 4 person including extra drinks (2 each) so it is actually quite value for money for such quality food! I strongly recommend students to come here with your friends (steamboat and Korean BBQ kind mainstream already lah) time to try some mookata!

I read reviews that it is overpriced, personally I don't feel that way. Well! It depends on you! I'll be visiting this place again this week! Don't say I bojio, good food never share one!

My experience at Kim's Family Food (Korean Food)

I was recommended by my friend Qin Pin to try out this Korean Restaurant that she had been telling about for ages that I really must come and try! She told me that there are more than 10 side dishes they offer and guess what? They are all FREE and refillable. Well to me, I not into Korean cuisine, but I decided to give it a try and experience the authentic food and ambience over at Kim's Family Food! There are 3 outlets in Singapore and we visited the one at 17 Lorong Kilat (near to Nooks DIY Pancakes). Address: Kim's Family Food (Korean Restaurant) 17 Lorong Kilat #01-06 Kilat Court Singapore 598139 Telephone: 6465 0535 (advised to make a reservation before you come) Entrance of Kim's Family Food  Qin Pin and Qi Man's peace twist sign photobomed this pic!  Full house okay! Top 10 Cheap and Affordable Places for Students to eat in Singapore

Most of the time during lecture, my friends and I would be in class whatsapping each other in our own personal group chat discussing about what should we eat after school. (Don't bluff, I bet you done it before too). Usually, we will not be able to think of a location to settle down hence we will end up searching online. Over the entire year, my clique and I have been hopping around places to find the best spot to eat and I have successfully list up some of my top places that we usually will hang out after school. Of course, being students (if you work or not work part-time), we will always be on budget constraint and do not want to spend a lot in a meal. After months of exploration, I would like to recommend some places (you might have been too or might not) that you will probably want to visit with your friends one day! What we usually look out for: 1. Places you can sit and chit-chat for more than 1 hour 2. Pocket-friendly prices (preferably below $25, ranging from $5.50 -
